Questions (VIII)

08 Sep

Since the dawn of time
mankind has searched
for meaning—in life.
Just why are we here?
What purpose do we serve?
Why can’t the answers be clear,
for our eyes and ears to observe?
And yet, the answers are right there
for us, if we just seek them out.
The answers are waiting to be found
upon the highest mountaintops,
within the deepest jungles,
and, even upon the prairies.
For, what is life…
but what we make of it?
Isn’t life—this one blessed moment,
where all things are possible,
simply put, for living…
for seeking out,
for learning and loving;
sharing our burning desires,
sheltering each other,
from the pain of loss?
Life is for the living,
don’t waste it—lest
you’ll be regretting it
as you’re dying.

I must say I agree with you completely love. Life is this moment, this one right here; to live it and share it.

humankind not mankind – seems to be the word of the day as someone else’s blog did the same. Sorry, I’m picky –

I can understand being picky Sue, however, I have a thing against eliminating words cause of a part of them. Would you ask Neil Armstrong to change his quote? When I say mankind…I am talking about the entire human race. I’m sorry if you see it differently. 🙂
